I heard someone mention recently that Rapido opened a U.S. based branch of their company (to avoid tariffs?). Not sure how accurate that info is.

Really glad to see a new run of these!  I think that $59.95 price is a cut/paste error from their HO page.  The pdf they linked to in the email announcement states $44.95 USD ($59.95 CDN):

The tariffs are about 12% of that, based on a recent video they released.

This is true. mainly so that the tariffs are applied to the cost of  the import rather than on the international sales where the tariff would be greater (the full 20%).

I commented on the YT video about the price increase and they replied with " If you're referring to N scale, the website pricing is wrong and will be corrected ASAP.  Should be $59.95."  So website might be wrong and their comment is wrong 🤔

At that price, I might as well switch to HO .. I need center beams for the new layout several of the industries receive lumber .. but at that price point, the secondary marked will provide "good enough" models for me to run ..

I picked up a couple from NScale Supply last week. They have both the six-packs and singles on sale at the moment. TTX and CN are out of stock but the other road names are still listed as available.
