The Silver Streak video is awesome! In my wildest imagination, which I now realize is far too conventional, I never would have thought of recreating the Silver Streak as a model. As a professional designer, and therefore theoretically educated to “think outside the box”, I find myself questioning my credentials. Maybe it’s time to retire.
Also, I see one of my CPR standard #14 stations at the 1:30 to 1:40 segment of the video - maybe some redemption?
Great sound track to the video as well…

I absolutely love that movie and, from this video, only just now learned that the version of the amazing theme song played later in the movie was a faster tempo.

I get them off their AliExpress page. https://shorturl.at/QpeJY

I haven't found a supplier in the US either, to reduce shipping time, but I haven't had any issues yet with AliExpress.

I've mostly had a good experience with AliExpress, but the last order not so much.  The US delivery was handled by a company called Uniuni (https://www.uniuni.com/).  The communications wasn't bad, I got an email saying the package was coming and when it was delivered, but it didn't show up.  Following the link for the tracking number even provided photos of the delivery... to the wrong house.  AliExpress pointed the finger at Uniuni and required a letter from the delivery company to process a refund.  The uniuni page to submit a claim didn't work.  Lots of stuff pointed to a live chatbot that I wasn't able to find.  The first phone call had a 2 hour hold time before being hung up when the music stopped.  The 2nd 2 hour hold time call got a gentleman who said a supervisor had to sign off on it and I would get an email.  A couple of days later, nothing, I sent the photos, with photos of my house to AliExpress to no avail.  They still wanted a letter from uniuni.

Now it's been over a week.  I've reversed engineered that it is a house a couple of streets over.  At least in our neighborhood (all of the streets start with the same letter and house numbers aren't unique), it is pretty common, if you get someone else's package, to take it over to the right address.  I hiked over the house and there was no answer.  I hiked over later and ended up talking to a guy in hospital scrubs who explained he had been on extra shifts and here is my package!

uniuni appears to have started in Canada and is expanding in the US and likely isn't in all markets.  While my primary beef is with uniuni, the fact that AliExpress required the letter didn't leave a great taste in the mouth.  This order was about $30, at least it wasn't a few hundred.  Hopefully it is all growing pains.
