Here's where my M5 project currently stands. (This is the less common welded version. I'll add the rivets for the more common version later.)Etched metal details needed are the roofwalk and the end railings and ladders (and probably the grabs as well). If people really want etched details, now is a good time to finish the project. Otherwise, or if there isn't enough interest to make it worth Bob's time, I'll do 3D printed parts from flexible resin like what Marc Haas did for his recent LV caboose here: https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=58678.0
UPDATE: PSC just replied back with a cost of $34 per car for brake castings (2 air hoses, air resv, brake cyl and distributor valve in plastic no less) plus a 6-9 month wait to get them.
I am totally perplexed as well Judd. I can only think that the person at PSC has no clue about trains. I have replied that there must be a mistake and to requote. Have not heard back yet. Here was my email and reply.
