I am to the point where I'm about to give Shane my transit and account numbers and just get it over with. I'm holding my hand back from the keyboard to keep it from ordering all six UP "snoot" numbers, limiting myself to two.

Replaying my conversation with Shane from last month in my head, I cannot help but think he was halfway serious about DD35s and DDA35s in our distant future. If so, I am done for.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that two tunnel motors will be in my mailbox tomorrow or Monday. Oy vey.

Considering they've done GP-30b's, I can't imagine that DD35's and DD35A's are entirely off the table. Maybe GP35's first?

I got my shipping notification this morning. Couldn't resist the Speed Lettering version. I'll add it to the SD40-2 retrospective article. Now I'm just waiting on the new Bachmann models to come out.

Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

Model railroading is an addiction, isn't it?   :D

I did snicker at the reverse facing eagle on the MoPac artwork.

Phew! Least I'm safe from this announcement. Every day I question what timeframe I really want to model. Stay the path I'm in or go back to 1996 before it all went to crap.
Attempting to model a modern Southern Pacific based in 2015/2016...

Also, I have a passenger train addiction...

Resistance is futile.  You must comply.

If ST ever picks up Z scale, I am in for a world of Mr. Wallet hurt.

For me I'm relatively safe for this run modeling early 90s BN, however one of the NS high hoods is tempting for some pool power. I remember the DME units growing up in that same era on Ellsworth AFB near Rapid City, but don't think too many DME units strayed off their lines

Someday, they'll get around to doing some G&W units. Probably about the time I decide to have some custom painted.
