First print attempt of the REA and USPS complex, consisting of only three pieces due to being rendered on the large build plate of an AnyCubic Proton M3 Max. The brick walls are one of the separate components, so all the parts can be airbrushed their base paint colors – Liquitex burnt red for the brick and Tru-Color Hunter green for the slatted walls. There are some minor issues that I will change if these need to be reprinted, but it appears that I will be able to move forward with these prints. I think I’m going to build it on a styrene base which then will be inset in place on the layout.

I got a wild hare and built a resin kit I've been carrying around forever.



Needs a seal coat and some weathering.  But it was fun to add another interesting car to the steam era fleet.
I also had fun remembering how easy dry transfers are to work with.

Add a sawmill green chain that is modeled loosely off of the one at Hull-Oakes Sawmill. It will be part of my sawmill scene and will attach to the side of the main sawmill building. I decided to put the print files up thinking maybe someone else could use it in a sawmill scene. If you do send me some pictures and I'll add them to the build.









Also have the print files up for ....



.... the posts, beams and roof.  Hope some of you guys can maybe get some use out of this design.

Love that ex Erie Lackawanna unit Ed.  Some of my favorite railfanning memories are the Curve in the mid to late 70's when Conrail had that rainbow blend of units.  Hard to believe that will soon be 50 years ago.

The green chain looks great painted Sumner, nice of you to offer the files. I’ll have some lumber operations on my layout but no room for a detailed production line…

Lee , did you apply the dry transfers directly onto the ribbed car side? I gave up on that after wasting a few sets going that way, now it’s always onto clear decal film first…

Ed, I like the attaché  DCC case, I assume the red and yellow are the colour keys for the front & rear T Trak tracks, with a selection for either DC or DCC for each? The former EL repaint looks great…

I came up with what I hope is my final track plan, any further and I’m approaching spaghetti bowl, plus I’m too frugal to not use all the Peco turnouts I bought used years ago…

Finalizing the design of a Bucyrus RB19 excavator based on measurements of the pewter model from Railway Express Agency. I wanted more than one for the layout, and I also wanted them posable for various locations in the aggregate yard.





The idea is to allow various assembled positions of the cab rotation, lift arm, bucket, bucket arm bucket arm trammel, and dump plate; glue them in place, paint and then add cable. All pivoting locations need light hand drilling and short brass or PB pins, or they can just be glued in position.

I am considering offering the file, or print to order.

Also today added some print files for some of the interior items for my sawmill. Didn't know if anyone could use them besides myself and still have a lot more to design.  I've gotten some requests for them so decided to put up what I have.

I'd put up the log lift that lifts the logs from the mill pond and the chains that carry the logs to the mill along with a debarker and debarker building ( HERE ).

I had the chain into the building in that group of print files and have added it again to this group along with the log table, carriage, bandsaw and a couple logs one can print (more coming in the future).  Here are a few images  .....

I would think that there would be a market for this kit.  I would buy one.
