Had some friends over to run trains and work out some layout kinks. We have been trying to get new operating sessions re-started on my PRSL layout. Most of the DCC issues have subsided but now we are trying to nail down some track issues. The layout has endured 14 years of temperature changes in a very warm loft and the continual expansion/shrinkage from the heat has begun to take a toll on the trackwork.
So, we put off the operating session and just tried to keep 4 trains running continually at the same time. In theory that should be easy on a DCC double tracked 2-3 scale mile run but I was having issues with my new Atlas GP-7’s lack of pulling power. They seem to have half the pulling power of my old Atlas GP38s which led to bunching up problems on a short grade (as I also attempted to take pictures at the same time).
Hats off to my New Jersey Southern M.R.C. helpmates, Ed Jones (
@PRSL66
) and Jason Sawyer

Wow, that is a serious bridge!
I kitbashed a pair of CV bridges and stratched another pair for my Snake Indian River scene. Still need more rust effects on the plate girder bridge.

Reporting live from Altoona, where my New York Central t-shirts have oddly not spontaneously combuste yet.
I brought my Lake Shore Central layout, along with the loop for my Toledo Division, both of which are on the Free-moN setup. Lots of good folks at this show to catch up with and I was delighted to see
@seusscaboose
modules of the NYC Norwalk Branch.

Here’s a Lake Shore Central local plodding along the Norwalk branch.

I’m not sure if this is the right term, but I had a moment of suspended reality when I ran a B&O frieght over
@SAH
Spencer modules. The illusion was only broken when I felt the room’s air handler go into action.
