Hi to Y'all

I am making progress on my latest project: SP's dynamometer car # 137

Next will be the cupola. (This is going to be fun) - not...

Laid out for the windows and doors

Cut out windows and doors

Thanks,
Wolf

I should be working on the last bit of unfinished scenery, but doing some switching instead  :P

Check out Valley Trains in Spokane Valley, Gary owns the shop, he's good people. I used to live out in Spokane almost 10 years ago

If for some reason you have time and end up south, TJ Model trains north of Pasco, just off the BNSF main, in the middle of farm country, made up of a bunch of boxcars, is sort of a trip.  Lots of new-old-stock and a lot of buildings, kits, and dust old stuff.

Congratulations! Looks like a 1967 with 200-inch inline six.

Mine was maroon with the 289-inch V-8... Would have been the best investment I ever made had I kept & cared for it...

Regards, Harry

Yes, you nailed it. I acquired it from the original owner, who bought it off the lot in March 1968. Only 83,085 on the odometer.  But it will be a while before it can go any further than the grocery store... :scared:

Bob:  Is TJ Model Trains a new name for PF&S Railway Supply, or are there two shops in that area now?

Spent a couple of hour organizing tools, detail parts and decals I put away a few years ago and tidied up the workbench.
Now that I have a better idea what I actually have l can plan some projects for the fall and winter…

Similar deal, spent the long weekend prepping a house I'm moving into. Its been a year and a half in the making. But finally the place is in a good enough state for my to sleep there, take a shower, and make simple stuff in a stripped down kitchen.
Just need to finish setting in some outlets and making the kitchen and lving room more workable. Train room is unfortunately still in shambles, but easier to work on when I live there as opposed to ferrying back and forth from my parent's place.

This weekend was an overnight camping trip a a friend's property Sunday and Monday. Today, I got around to doing some pink foam carving before a few appointments on my "oNe Trak" end loop. Pretty happy with it thus far, I see a few more places I want to tweak before laying down the plaster and sculptamold.
Here is a shot of the current state, with my 2-8-2T I built quite a few years ago pulling a string of log cars.

@SP-Wolf  -  looks like a few folks are interested!
The window and door openings look great - how were they done?  Freehand?  Automated cutter of some sort?  Anxious to learn!

Here's a few more pictures, it's an old build, I want to say I built it around 2010? It's definitely a 5-ft model, from 5 ft it looks great, you get up close to it and it's not nearly as good as I would like it to be. As with my Class B climax, my target wasn't to model a specific locomotive or prototype, but have the feel of the prototype. I wanted somebody to see it and be able to say "that's a minaret logging loco"

The Mech is one of the old Walthers\LifeLike 0-8-0 switchers, with the traction tire driver removed. The shell is mostly brass, with some lead added for weight, some of the detail parts are plastic, some a pewter, Some are borrowed from the donor 0-8-0. Overall I'm happy with it, and it runs well. Right now it's pulling 14 Walthers Log cars, and an old Revell work caboose/boom tender that I retrucked.
