Time to have a conversation with Terri...

Also, I'm cautiously optimistic that I'm not going to have my heart broken.

I'm also thinking about selling my upgraded intermountain ones, if anyone is seriously interested.

As long as the portfolio is doing well, Robyn doesn't complain about the fleet expansion. I take my fees in the gains, just like any other respectable financial advisor.

OTOH, I'm not going to announce that I ordered 10 GP30s, either. I need to liquidate the older tech versions real soon for the "Look, honey, I sold a bunch, too!"

I can't speak for Scale Trains, but in the HOn3 world, Blackstone products only go up in value no matter how hard you abuse them...so Patricia has even started encouraging me to give a home to any Blackstone engine I can get for under $500.

Thanks for the reminder. I have about 1347 things to list on Trading Post to offset recent purchases and my various standing orders.

I have a mind like a steel trap...a VERY rusty, old steel trap.

I saw the pilot Conrail units in Bethlehem and they were outstanding.  Looking forward to my unit arriving.

Did they fix the fuel tanks?

Great!!..

It was the first thing I asked when I talked to Shane and Matt in Bethlehem. I needed the answer before I would offer them something from Vallos.

I almost canceled my Pre-Order, after the 1st run was released.. but I held off in hopes they would fix it..

It's why I'm glad that Conrail is typically in the second run of stuff, and also why I grabbed a Southern unit too to see one in person. I was smitten and sold it off because it's "too nice to barely use".

My four non-sound DCC ready Conrail SD40-2's should arrive on Monday, along with the bulkhead flatcars and the finger rack flatcars I reserved.  I did not expect these all at once, but nothing I can do about it.  I bought a fourth as delivered unit with the intention of renumbering it.  Scaletrains lettering comes off rather well with Solvaset.  I opted for no sound due to the fact they will never produce the sound I am looking for.  Listen to the first two minutes of this You Tube video.  This is what I want, and it is not possible in any scale other than 1:1.  Five SD40-2s (three haulers and two unit snapper) hauling a PPLX unit mineral train (probably symbol UFY) up the West Slope of the Conrail Pittsburgh Line at the PA 53 bridge between Cresson and Gallitzen, PA.

Great all around video.  He has other late Conrail and early NS videos that are great to just listen to, let alone watch.  Brings back many fond memories railfanning the same spots during the same time period.  Thanks.
