On the subject of G&W...

Railpictures.net didn't like this because of "composition". ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Foreground interest is well known and used element of composition (sarcastic, sure, but nonetheless a valid point)

Heritage Park - Calgary, AB July 30, 2024

The history was a little bit hokey but the restoration work is top notch.

Of course. "Back in the day" we'd joke about carrying chainsaws to deal with those pesky signal line poles that would ruin every shot if you were on "the wrong side". Little did we know then.

railpictures.net still suffers from Stan Lytle's legacy of "perfect" pix of every little detail on the rolling stock. "Heavens! Those weed blooms are blocking the view of the fuel tank. Unacceptable!"

North Shore GP38-2 2015 running long end forward on the Union County Industrial Railroad south of Lewisburg, PA. Taken April 10, 2024.

The fabric of reality has begun to fray.

How about a murky MM photo from the good old days?

I'm guessing around 1991 or so.
