I don't think I've ever seen anything less than 1mm. So about 0.040". What size do you need?

The truss rods are supported by a bracket thingy (as shown in this superb photo!). At the thicker mounting point, in N scale it is 1.137mm x 0.726mm.

I have some of the newer, more flexible ABS resin.  I might try that and see what happens.  If that doesn't work, I'm not quite sure what to do.

I do think trying to print them first would be a good idea though.

I have some Fin N Scale kits that have etched queenposts and use fishing line for the cables. You thread it through a hole in the floor at one end, over the queenposts, and into another hole. Then tension it on the top of the underfame out of sight. It doesn't need a lot of tension, so that could work here with printed queenposts.

Okay, here are queenposts V1.0.  This version is a bit robust and has holes to thread some wire.  Assuming V1.0 doesn't work, V2.0 will just have a groove to place the wire in.

Not a ton of work done this week, but I did cobble together some pieces of styrene for the SD70M-2 traction motor blower. Nothing fancy but it'll serve its purpose of filling in the empty space.

I also dug out a BNSF SD70MAC from my project backlog and got back to work on it. I got all the holes drilled for the detail parts and the cab numbers removed for renumbering. It'll end up being BNSF 8814 with a lot of primer after wreck repairs, it should be fun to mask.

Progress on the scenery bit.  Working on the west end of the Narrows TTrak modules to be ready for N Scale Weekend in September.

Been busy getting ready for E24 this week. Here is a Atlas B40-8W from the recent run, I redid the ditch lights with 0402 LEDs, added extra grab irons and other details and then renumbered the unit to a RCL unit and added a a working beacon. Then to top it off I updated the sound file and purchased a custom horn file for it.

I worked on Butler Rd overpass this evening.  I was trying to figure out how I was going to get flat wall segments to fit an arched bridge deck.  3D printed cured parts do not flex very much, if at all.  After bouncing ideas off others and inside my head, I decided I would try to attach them fresh off the printer without curing for now.  I then printed segments at twice the designed length, with the thought process being it's easier to flex something that is longer than shorter.  I cleaned everything up, scratched up the bridge deck and underside of the walkway segments and adhered them with super glue.  I used clothes pins to hold everything together while drying.  Here's the result.  I put the pins back on after taking the photos just for extra security until I get back on the project.
