Ever see an Amtrak Phase I passenger car, in service, with no car name or number?

I don't think I"ve seen an Amtrak Slumbercoach..

Is the number in that little box on the left next to "Slumbercoach"?

That's the changeable service number, not the road number.

Ain't that something?

I also love that grungy PC commuter car in the background.

Apparently it is Silver Siesta 2020 (per the photo description). It looks like there is at least the remnants of the name, maybe in the original image the Flickr poster was able to make it out.

My 1976 Amtrak Car spotter indicates that this series (2020-2023) were originally built in '56 for the Denver Zephyr. Amtrak had a number of other "batches" of Slumbercoaches too.

I feel like if you tilt your head and squint a bit, you can make out a touch of PRR heritage on that coach as well...

It is the Silver Siesta, and, as Mark5 says, the original name is barely visible.  This wasn't unusual where Amtrak removed lettering from stainless steel cars.  I remember seeing it on a lot of cars in the early 70s when Amtrak was new.

Amtrak had quite a few Slumbercoaches, including most, if not all, of the NP's.  Yes, Amtrak bought the Loch Ness.  Whether it came with a monster is unknown.
