BTW Peco turnouts rely on the points touching the stock rails to power the frog. Soon as the sides of the rail get dirty they no longer make contact.
I generally like Peco track, but keeping all the points in contact with their corresponding stock rails does end up being 75% of the regular track cleaning routine.
