Ed knows how to farm engagement.
I mean seriously, if he had titled it 'My new CR Alcos' I would have been a lot less likely to click on it because I don't model Conrail.  But I was curious, and saw something cool.

Remember, CR 2072 was painted blue, albeit with minimal graphics.  I thought the story about that is in the MSB Conrail Motive Power series.  Thanks.

Yep. Done with a roller in the Bethlehem engine house. They didn't have the stencils for the canopener, so it was just plain blue.
I'm guessing they did it because it was so banged up looking like in that photo.

You need to mark one up for the D&H given your time frame...

This may have been my first encounter with an Alco.  It was pretty memorable.
