Baldwin RF-16 Sharknose
PRR J1
PRR H10

Oh no.  The wallet is NOT going to be happy.  Thank goodness that with BLI's regular delivery schedule, I have some time to save up.

I could take or leave the J since they didn't operate east of Altoona (rumor was they couldn't fit through the Rockville Bridge duckunders into Enola) but I will do very morally questionable things for those H10s and RF-16s.

I parted with my Sharknoses some years ago, and while I'd installed DCC, they weren't sound-equipped.

Jeez, I'm gonna need to build a lot of modules for this!

I am working on my Middle Division layout, and I1s and H10s are needed so badly.  I just keep waiting for them to be released by BLI, but who knows when it will happen.

The I1s...the holy grail. I want 4, just to do a typical PRR quadruple-header (well, two up front and two in the back). I feel like @chicken45 must have a grown-up joke for that.

For the life of me, I don't understand why BLI released the T1 before an H10 or the I1, both of which were much more numerous and prevalent on the system.  The I1 specifically was all over the system and is sorely needed.

By my count, it will be three DIFFERENT T1s before the H10!   :o

(PRR, Reading, C&O… assuming the original list is in order.)

Oh, Mike, you know why...   It's big.  It's flashy.  It pulled the Broadway Limited (BLI's namesake) - though technically not the BL consist that Kato put out so there really isn't a correct one for it.  But even some non-PRR modelers will buy one and most PRR modelers might buy two (I bought 4 - I'm stupid that way) even though they don't need any.

They maybe did the right thing since there have been three runs of them. Who can say how many I's, H's or L's they might have sold. Though I would easily find a way to get 8-10 of each just because.  In Stealth.  without smoke.  lol

I still think the I1s is the next logical choice (that or the J1) because the massive tender is perfect for sound.

I need I1s because I found my stash of Pennsy hoppers I thought I'd sold off!

The T1 is a perfect platform to build an S1. The drivers are so close with n scale you can fudge it

I seconded Dave's suggestion of a PRR I1sa on BLI's Facebook page.

Weren't these supposed come out before the ATSF 3751 4-8-4? followed by the J1 ? then the 4-8-4.

BLI never said for sure.  @mike_lawyer has had various BLI personnel say over the past few years that I's, J's, H' were in design, but there was never any firm commitment.  The closest there have been are mentions in the Broadway Flyer:

Q: "Any near future plans for bringing more PRR steam prototypes to N scale? I1s decapod is the top of my list, but H, J, and L classes would also be more than welcome." - Angela on Facebook
A: Besides the PRR T1 and M1a//M1b, we do have more Pennsy steam in the works for N scale. We can't share what just yet as we are still gathering data packages for the locomotives.

Quote from: BLI_Mar24_Fyer
Now onto things we are working on! If you've been reading this newsletter in the past, you know we've teased some exciting stuff! We have been actively working on more N scale steam and diesels. Currently we have the following locomotive types in design. We don't have a timeline for an announcement just yet as we are still working on reviewing the designs, getting tooling costs, estimates, finalizing details and more. The two designs that are the closest to complete are the Santa Fe 3751 northerns and Union Pacific FEF-3 northerns.

    Santa Fe 3751 Northerns
    Union Pacific FEF-3 Northerns
    Southern Pacific Cab Forward AC4/AC5
    Baldwin RF-16 Sharknose
    EMD GP30
    EMD GP35
    C&O T1
    PRR J1
    PRR H10

Given, that of that list the first scheduled is the ATFS Norther, then that might also be the order in which they will appear, but who knows?  TH GP30 has been talked about but is not on the production list yet but if it comes next, then that would have skipped several entries in the list.

Since March there hasn't been a lot of talk about PRR steam.  It's been the ATSF Northern and the GP30 mostly.  Their schedule is planned out fairly far.  Note that the UP Challenger we originally announced in 2024 for a summer (July) 2024 has been pushed to Spring 2025 and even the ATSF Northern says Fall 2025 so is still more than a year away and we know how BLI's dates slide.  Even if they announce a PRR steam now it will probably 2026 before it arrives.  The new HO PRR B6s is also scheduled for Fall 2025

If you need more H21's or possibly GLa's then let me know. Since backdating to 1948 I have a bunch of post Circle Keystone cars that are only good after 1954.
