BLI's upcoming N scale releases

In the March issue of their newsletter, BLI states that the following locomotives are in the works for N scale.  Of note for PRR modelers, it's the first time they have confirmed that the H10 and J1 are in the works:

Santa Fe 3751 Northerns
Union Pacific FEF-3 Northerns
Southern Pacific Cab Forward AC4/AC5
Baldwin RF-16 Sharknose
EMD GP30
EMD GP35
C&O T1
PRR J1
PRR H10

GP 30's and 35's yay. I'm hoping that the 35's will have a modern variant with ditch lights as well. I'm hoping for a DRGW GP30 to go along with Scaletrain SD40T2

Their N scale SD40-2's weren't road specific as I recall, at least the CP version had the headlight above the cab rather than the correct location in the nose. If that holds true for the GP30 and the GP35, wallet is safe.

Some really cool stuff in that list!

The GP30 & GP35 could spell the end of my wide hood Atlas/Kato tooling versions (they did hi-nose versions in HO).

My gosh, those guys are an unstoppable juggernaut when it comes to new loco releases (assuming they all come to fruition).

I think this is an attempt to preempt ScaleTrains on offering a port of their great HO GP30 and GP30B, where the natural follow-on would be a GP35.

I have been really impressed with their steam releases thus far.  My M1s pull like crazy, they can pull 50-60 cars each.  They are mechanically excellent too.  I really like their stealth offerings, as it allows me to use whatever decoder I choose.

The newsletter had this to say about the Stealth series engines:

 “Stealth models are selling below what we had hoped when we announced it. If we saw higher, more consistent orders for Stealth come in, we would be willing to offer road numbers and expand the number of Stealth models in production. We are still committed to offering Stealth models, however until we see more orders come in, we cannot commit to expand the stealth offerings.”

Was hoping for scale trains but at this point I'll be happy with a scale width hood and proper fan location.

Cab forwards! And the Santa Fe northern. I'm starting to think that I'll be buying locomotives until I die sometime far in the future. I'm surprised the Stealth locos are doing that well.
