O Scale AHM/Rivarossi 0-8-0 Repower?

Just looking for suggestions on repowering an AHM/Rivarossi 0-8-0. Rebuilding/Restoring a piece of equipment gifted to me, looking for something with ample power and smoothness.

I assume this is the powered version, not the dummy/kit version?

Are you only looking to swap the motor? or replace the entire drive?

Correct powered version. The RR motor is shot, I can stop it on 9V by hand so there is nothing left in her. I've loosened up the drivetrain. Just need to replace the motor at this point.

It took a little doing (cutting, etc.), but I once put a full-size Pittman can into one; added some weight and it was a good (enough) puller...
