I haven't cleaned my track in months and my T-1's run around the layout without stalling. In fact, I have not had a single hesitation.I have had some issues with the smoke. I am using Mega Steam as well. The BLI T-1 video says to put the needle between the side of the stack and the cylinder that is in the middle of the stack. When I do that, the oil just goes all over the front pilot and no smoke. I am definitely not getting it in the smoke unit. I tried just dropping a drop right down the stack (like the BLI BB video says) and it smoked like it should. I probably need to remove the shell and see exactly where the needle needs to go. Is there any issue just putting it straight down the middle of the stack?
And then of course mere minutes after I heap praise on it the thing goes and does that "Paragon Thing" where it slows to a stop, sits there for a second, then speeds back up and resumes its journey. Seems like every BLI loco I've ever bought does that to me sooner or later...-Mark
Strange. I have a lot of BLI locos, steam and diesel, and I have never seen this behavior. I use EasyDCC, maybe BLI decoders don't like something with your DCC system?
Plenty of others have had the same experience and I'm sure they don't all have Lenz DCC systems.-Mark
I am tempted to buy a Stealth version so I can use a decoder of choice.
I'm wondering, has anyone disassembled one of these yet??
Ok after a week of running the three of them I noticed at speed the chuffing is too fast. At a low speed it’s right on.
