I can’t believe I missed the part about possible cab forwards! We really need some early versions (AC4, 5, and 6) as the only ones available to us now are brass and those are limited to extremely wide radius trackage.

You mean I can learn all this without the BLI version of the Plaid Membership in their club?

Yes, that plaid membership is how you get the Warbonnet painted version though

Just a general comment.

Despite my dislike of their Paragon sound decoders (now mostly a moot point since they have decided to offer decoder-less versions of their engines - hooray!), BLI's steam mechanisms that I've worked with have all been excellent.  I have nothing but good things to say about my own light Mikes, and my friends' T1's and M1's likewise have been excellent mechanically.

We really need a reliable steam producer in N scale.  Some of Bachmann's stuff is really good (e.g., the Consolidation; the EM-1); some not (the Berk was a major disappointment in the mechanical quality department).  Having BLI do consistently excellent steam locos in N would be a major plus, IMHO, whatever they choose to bring out.

A good low-drivered 2-8-0 and a more modern 4-6-0 would be welcomed, I think.

Second the motion for a more modern 4-6-0.  B&O B-18 maybe?

I would trade large amounts of currency for a CP D10 4-6-0.
