Clint (MECGP7) was gracious enough to send a CC SD40-2 my way for the upcoming retrospective. This leaves me waiting for the Scale Trains and 3rd generation Bachmann units to be delivered within the next few months.

While pre-ordering the Bachmann unit, I also purchased a Bachmann GG1, due tomorrow. $100 for the sound equipped version. I don't think I've seen them offered so low before:

You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

I finished replacing the last of my burned out Woodland Scenics and Layouts4u yard lights -

I gotta say, I'm really quite impressed with how well my smartphone functions as a camera. There is absolutely no light in those shots apart from that provided by the layout itself, and yet everything is clear and sharp all the way to the back. I've certainly never had a camera camera that could manage night shots so well, and I didn't even have to fumble around with any kind of special settings!  :o

That looks spectacular Mark!! Unitrack? What Unitrack?   Seriously, those shots look super-realistic. And yes, some smart phones have excellent cameras built-in.

Thanks, Peteski. I think the only thing that would make it look better is working headlights and taillights on the big rigs  :D

Did some tidying up around the layout today.

Still more organizing and sorting to do, but the shelving down the wall opens up a few opportunities...

Used this file here

To make a couple signals to spice of the cliff module a little bit.
Went together pretty quick. And they look decent for FDM.  Only display a Red Indication but nice adding drama for photos.

First (of 2) days of the "Railroad Days at the Margaret E. Heggan Library" in Washington Twp. (606 Delsea Drive, Sewell, NJ 08080; near Glassboro, NJ) put on by the New Jersey Southern Model Railroad Club.
N-Trak, T-Trak, and display layouts! Oh, the beauty of running 9 tracks (almost) flawlessly!  :D
Open again Sunday 1-4! Come on out South Jersey.

Very interesting when non-members are explaining the T-Trak layout to other visitors!
