Cry for help! Drawing help that is!

Im on the hunt fot more heavyweight passenger/head end car drawings to add to my collection. If you have any scale or elevation drawings(car diagrams that only show rough dimensions aren't much help), and especially steam locomotive elevation/erection drawings,  id greatly appreciate it if anyone would send some copies so i can render them in CAD and eventually print them.

this on the other hand is a diagram and theyre very basic and show clearance and arent necessarily good for anything detail related.

there isnt anything anyone wants printed up in the above categories? thats not par for the course in N-scale!!!! i guess i need to announce a new model so everyone could tell me what i should have made?

Back in the day just about every issue of MR and RMC (and others I suppose) had at least one drafted drawing. If you can find a stack of old issues you can spend many Sunday afternoons “doing research” in a comfy armchair…

thats pretty fancy mike! ive got the CAD drawing and 3d printing down pretty well. im just looking for more realms(railroads) to expand into

It looks like you already have the Santa Fe books, so I don't think you need those drawings.  I would be a potential customer for almost anything in use circa 1955-56 on trains out of Chicago, that hasn't already been made by Kato, or as a side kit from M&R, or Union Station (I probably already have one half-built). "Wants" that come to mind are heavyweight baggage-lounge combines (which by the 1950s were numbered 1501, etc, but there was a lot of renumbering in early years, so they are not the same cars as 1501 series of the 1920s), the 1360 series lounges (again, as they appeared in the mid 50s, and they were also not all alike by that time). And, "big domes" in either version.

I'll see what I can dig up otherwise. I may be able to provide some info on Wabash cars- I will see how many files survived my last computer crash. Would be helpful if you could let us know what resources you already have, so we aren't digging through libraries for hours to find old magazines you already have, etc.

I would also note that historical societies are good resources for drawings, $5 can get you a back issue of their magazine that covers a particular car or train, and often can provide a ton of info for a potential model that never gets printed in their magazines.

Doesn't look like he's biting, and while I'd love to do it in 3D someday, it's behind the Milwaukee Depot for me.

Haha, the printing we could probably figure out. But here's a better idea more in line with your original request.

We need a couple high-stepping Milwaukee Road 4-6-4's Class F6 and F6a on Modutrak.  A printed boiler would be outstanding:
