Family photo: from the rear, a pair of GSH90, the one with the quadcons, EMM-WD, and container is the older design and the one with the 983 and 870A1 is the newer design. Then a NSH90 equipped as a PTTX, and a pair of LTTX with bunks - a JSH90 and up front another NSH90 variant.

Next up is to try the new design around the layout to make sure it works and doesn't cause too many problems. I hope it does work as I have a bunch of the newer design of weights and a PTTX RSH90 in the printer now.

Nice! Now we're talking.... @MTLJoe

Chuck Geiger...again, really digging your scenery techniques!  Did you use a static grass applicator for the weeds between the track?  If not, how did you get this effect?  I'd like to try something similar in a gritty area of my layout.

Yes, Ron short 2mm-4mm was applied over scattered drops of matte medium with an applicator and then vacuumed. There is
a post here, somewhere on a member who did it much better without it on the ties. I have to clean up the rails on that siding.
BTW - If dirt covers the ties, the grass will grow on and around the ties.

Thank you. It's here at: https://realisticmodelrailroading.net/forum/layouts/portable/102-southern-railway-s-slate-fork-branch-n

I should really get a parallel thread started here.
