You think that's nuts...

If you google around on the topic there are those who argue a grafitti-ist can sue a railroad for painting over his/her work...

Nevertheless I'll be ordering the CP cars...

I believe the problem is if the case is filed, no matter how frivolous, you still need court time/ lawyer to have the case dismissed.

If only CP cars *ever* found there way onto CN trains...  Those are hawt.

Hopefully we see some weathered TBOX cars coming in 2024.

When CP needs cars delivered reliably, they route them CN!

Truth.  Sadly, I'm going to pass on these beautiful cars.  I'm waiting for what I am sure will be equally great weathered TBOX cars.

Saw a CN train in Edmonton today that had not one, but two of the CP cars.  MT hit a home run with these, the weathering is spot on.  I guess now I need to get one...

Really outstanding work.  Can't wait for my order.

I'm still amused by the fact that MTL "hired" their own graffiti "artists" to deface model trains.  Will they be prosecuted and jailed in scale jails if caught by the N scale law enforcement?  Or are they allowed to roam the N scale RR yards worry-free?   :D

I saw these at the hobby shop a couple of days ago. The faded paint job is so amazing! I don't know who's doing the painting on these, but they need to write a book.

No, they walk around the layout with N-scale lawyers holding briefcases in tow.

I have done slobbering railfan scenes on older layouts.  Maybe I should add the lawyer to the guys with the cameras.

My biggest railfan jokes on a layout was an Atlas skyscraper, used as an apartment building, with the sign banners proclaiming, "Starting at $110,000.  Railroad views start at $ 1 million!"

Yes, the evolution of the MTL weathered cars is pretty amazing.  It first started (quite some years ago) with them airbrushing the individual cars by hand, resulting in some light (but realistic) weathering.   Later on, they added graffiti using their ink-jet printer decorating process, while still applying some airbrushed weathering.  They kept upgrading their ink jet printers over time, so the printing resolution got finer and finer.  They also started printing the complete car sides (weathering, lettering and graffiti) all at the same time, using the ink-jet printer.  As I understand, their in-house graphic artists are producing the weathering and graffiti artwork.  They sure are very skilled artists.
