Was a bit surprised that this was not already posted - or I just missed it, either way...

Some pretty cool stuff this month, although nothing for me unfortunately.  Either out of my eras or I can't justify them.

I really want the SP Overnight and the SP flat cars with load...and I'll probably get at least the Overnight cars, but at $27+ for the Overnights and $30 for a flat car...

I must be getting old but I never imagined paying $30 for a flat car...or $3.00 for a plastic box (for some reason, the same box costs $3.75 for the overnights). The prices of the new engines and rolling stock are making me glad that I bought so much early on.

Tough to resist. The UP flats are square in the middle of my modeling era and RR, but I’ve been buying too much as it is recently and am reluctant to drop more coin. The Intermountain reefer release made a big dent!

Good thing the ScaleTrains SD40-2 release has been pushed back until February. Then I have to get decoders for those.

YOLO, I suppose.

True that. Who imagined that spending $3.95 for a boxcar around 1980 would be a long term investment with a better return than savings bonds.

As to the $30 flat cars....no more 50' cars pretending to be 53' for me. I have at least 20 of them. On anything that is supposed to be 53'6" AAR (or similar), I will just do my best to pick up Athearn and IMRC and Atlas cars here and there on auction or if they ever do another run...

I have a mind like a steel trap...a VERY rusty, old steel trap.

The UP boxcars scream modern, but I'm a bit hesitant about the price.

They have bumped up again, I think the Canadian Pacific cars were 49.98

The UP boxes are brand new just saw one this morning looking factory fresh.
