Delivered the Layout for the Model Railroad shop in Piscataway NJ.So now have time to work on my own projects for a bit.Still a lot to go, Acrylic Screens/Fascia to keep fingers and dust off. Little details to make it lively but overall enough to keep the shoppers happy.
Mark: Lighting shouldn't draw too much current, so maybe buy a quality power strip with a built-in surge protector? Plug the lighting power supply(s) into that, and they should be safe from future lightning, or other outside power problems.
You'd think so, but the power supply was plugged into a power strip with a circuit breaker, which was in turn plugged into another power strip with a circuit breaker, which was plugged into a GFCI outlet. The outlet fried, one of the power strips fried and two power supplies fried. The only good news is that the bulbs connected to that second power supply didn't also fry. Those are all on and inside of buildings and would've been a nightmare to replace -Mark
Mark, you need power strips with surge suppressors, not circuit breakers.
A very nice collection, Nate! What kind of sound in the 90?ESU?Otto
