John, consider these for your switches unless you are going remote operation. You don't have to use the pneumatic machine, but it helps to throw the switch with your finger. John, how does your Key 2-8-0 like the plastic frog turnouts? I have a new section I’m about done planning that I’m ready to start building. I tried Peco insulfrog turnouts back in the 80s, but my brass steamers (especially smaller ones like the 2-8-0) didn’t like them 😕

I grew up near some SP/UP/ex-PE branch lines and like what you’re doing here as well as the previous layout!
