So would you say the same thing about Atlas then, with their recent spending on branding an NJT train?

No I would not because Atlas has not come out and said they can't read the N scale market, and basically give up on them.  Still churning out N scale on a "regular" basis dependent on China/shipping etc

New Newsletter out. No new N Announcements. Just updates on the Barrel Ore Hoppers and Angus Vans.

But they said at the beginning of the email, for exciting news and keep reading for N scale updates...

Last night on Rapido Live on Facebook they took a question about N Scale freight cars. Basically they are wanting to see how the Procor 5820 does, and there are some projects in the works with something coming at Christmas. (Please be the second run of Autofloods).

It starts at the 1 hour 28 minute mark for those who want to listen to the whole dialogue.

...and that's what they gave us. Updates on the Barrel Ore Hoppers and Angus Vans. They didn't say that the exciting news was for N scale.

Just moments ago, I dropped off one of my FP9A N scale locomotives for repair at Rapido’s office/warehouse.  The decoder would make the boot-up sound, try to move a cm or two, die … slightest/lightest tap … rinse & repeat.

While I was there, they gave me a sneak peek, and let me handle one of the soon-to-arrive N scale Angus vans.  This particular one was CP - suffice to say that it is absolutely splendid.  Anyone who pre-ordered will NOT be disappointed (for my part, I’m awaiting two vans - CP and Ontario Northland).

Anyway, in the spirit of the season, they gave me a couple of wee gifts:

Sorry your loco is having problems, but it's cool you got to play with some of the new toys before everyone else.
