I'm starting to wonder if I didn't leave behind a box of vintage goodness at Altoona.  I know I sold a heckuva lot of stuff, but there's a couple of things that I kept to run on the TTrak, so they wouldn't have been on my sale table.

So far the most glaring item to go MIA is my beloved Amtrak Metroliner set.

They were packaged in OEM blue Bachmann clamshell boxes, with a power car and three coaches.

Now, it's entirely possible that it's right here under my nose...  The basement is a disaster area, and I never really put anything away when I got back from the show, but I've been through the boxes that I know I took, and I'm still coming up empty.  I had run it on the DC loop, which included my modules, then put them in their boxes behind the skyboard when I went wandering around the show.

I think I recall packing them up, but then again, maybe I didn't.  Dag nabbit.  I wasn't going to sell that set, but now I've got a guy interested in it, and I can't put my damn mitts on it.

If anyone has any recollection of seeing it at the show, I'd appreciate a few hints.

I was around the DC side loop both days, and I don't remember ever seeing those online.   We had the one Kato Amtrak train on the DC loop, but nothing old school like yours.

I ran them for about an hour (you never want to run those old boys longer than you have to) and I'm pretty sure I put them back into a box.  I'm wondering if I didn't leave behind a closed box.
There's a few other items that I'm 99% sure I didn't sell that I also haven't been able to find.  It's the price I pay for my chaotic existence.

Oh man Lee, that sucks man! Fingers crossed it turns up.

Maybe @Rasputen might've seen it at the table?

I remember eating breakfast this morning.  Anything before that is pretty foggy.

I think I was the last person at the vendor tables - I still have the box with all of the bubble wrap but no signs of any equipment.

Welp.  On closer inspection, I'm unable to put my hands on two other items that I know made the trip, but I don't recall offering them for sale or running them.
One is a custom painted vintage Atlas E7 in Penn Central garb, and the other is the Penn Central Metroliner, which was packed in an old VHS video box.

That's the set that @randgust helped me with the repower.

They've got to be around here somewhere.

Good news!  After shuffling a few boxes looking for something else, ( as usual) I found the box of stuff I thought I had lost.

Thanks to everyone who looked and inquired.  I guess this can be regarded as an early onset senior moment...

And yes, the PC Metroliner is also extant.

I better start organizing this old junk.

Huzzah! If you're going to lose something you value, this is the best way to do it  :P

Something to celebrate for Thanksgiving!

I'm glad you found it, at least we know no one stole it.  Today, that in itself is a cause for celebration.

It did occur to me the liklihood of that being a theft target considering the INCREDIBLE amount of stuff laying around during a show like that.

I think its rather extraordinary that there has been so few issues of any 'public' problems; particularly unattended children with inattentive parents.  I'm always on watch and still surprised how controlled it's actually been.

Glad you found it, I've never done another Tomix repower of a Metroliner, interesting exercise, not necessarily looking for a repeat!

Glad to hear you found the passenger cars, but what about the orphans that were in the cars? Did they make it home?

They were boiled into pudding, and served to the trolls under the bridge.

Except that one kid.  We're still chasing him through the woods.

Actually, they're still onboard thinking they're getting hot chocolate and going to the North Pole.  But there's none of that nonsense till at least December 10th at my house.  HUMBUG!
