Nice! Were those EL cars the one that lasted forever in Conrail service?
We just announced a new group of N scale 14-Panel 3-Bay Hoppers.
Cool - might "need" to grab some CRR, EL, & WM. Anyone know when Clinchfield took possession of these? "Clinchfield Railroad bought this group of 323 (and probably more) hoppers secondhand from Pittsburgh & Lake Erie."
Oh, I will need all of the CASO cars. I’ve had a long-term project to bring the Dane iron ore trains into the spotlight. Such a fascinating international ore train with great cars and locomotives. Thank you!Michael Livingston
What years did this train operate? I know it was gone before my era, but I grabbed a CASO hopper on an earlier run just because.
The Railwire is not your personal army.
Mike, 1965 to 1971 when Dofasco bought the Adams Mine. Old time trains has a decent explanation on the trains, interesting operation.http://www.trainweb.org/oldtimetrains/photos/us/CASO_rolling.htm
