N Scale Yard Lights

I realized that my Pavonia TTRAK module has to feature lighting.

I'm thinking about the Atlas lights, maybe hit with an orange marker to make em nice and sodium vapory.

Does anyone have any experience with them? Are they easy to work with?

And what input voltage do they take? Are they compatible with the Woodland Scenics Just Plug stuff?

Other than those two lines, is there anything else I should check out?

I haven't experimented a lot with the voltage but I run all mine off the included 1k resisitor with a 9v battery.
The "Warm" variant is what your looking for, it has that yellowish glow. If you feel adventuress to modify their shape and just use the heads. Their construction is just crimped and bent Aluminum tubes, they can be scored and snapped fairly easily without damaging the wires. For example my city module uses them for the street lighting with the poles snapped off to the gooseneck and glued to brass tubes to make them utility pole mounted.

Sodium lamps have very orange light.  I remember those on my street before they were replaced with LED lamps few years ago. Even with warm white LEDs you will have to use transparent orange paint to get them to look like  sodium lamps.

I needed a particular species of yard light and found it at layouts4u (UK). Was very pleased with what I got and shipping was cheap and fast. The LEDs are rated for 3 volts, although resistors are included if you want to run them using 12 volts.
