I’m close to wrapping up a local SW1200. Still need to swap trucks and weather it

Finished up this N&W Trainmaster in T scale.  Finished with custom decals and chalk weathering.  This is a 3D printed shell that fits on a 6-axle powered chassis.  The handrails aren't quite perfect but at 0.23 mm diameter I will take it;  they have a tendency to want to contract at a slightly different rate than the body.  I tried doing the handrails as an add-on part but decided a one-piece print of body+handrails was just easier to deal with.  Couplers are my (CCE) knuckle couplers and snap in to the stock pockets.  I'm putting together a few of these kits (shell, sideframes, fuel tank, glass, decals) to sell through a hobby shop in GA whom I hope will start stocking more T gauge items--they seem receptive.

This is excellent! I always liked their red/black/white take on the BN scheme. Unfortunately BNSF had taken the line back by the time I was able to visit the area.

The PVJR has kept this one alive and well in Vancouver

This weekend I printed and painted the LIRR IS icing facility’s ice conveyor. I plan on adding strips of 4000 grit sandpaper up and back into the lower icehouse. Just need to sand the roof, install corrugated roofing, paint and weather the lower icehouse.

Also picked up two era Ice trucks for deliveries. Thinking of digging a concrete dock ramp into the foam for easy unloading into the lower ice house.

Worked on some of my ATSF head-end cars. We have here a fishbelly baggage and a horse express cars.
Working on the easiest floor mounting solutions on these. The horse express floor slides in from the end with the doors. The fishbelly baggage clips in from the bottom. Contact me if you're interested in any of these.

Disregard the cracked out spots, i wasnt exactly delicate when i was testing. the fit. ill post better pictures this week.

With some filing, painting, and next lettering, not bad. The $8 Etsy signals.
The castings are not clean, and close-ups show the flaws. I also need proper
spacing from rail to signal and signal to stop bar.

Those look really good, Drasko. Hope you work the bugs out, they are very Santa Fe cars!
Today I worked some more on my friend's HO layout, the PCL II. Roughed in the scenery over the Easton tunnel, which hides the entrance to the east end staging, and started on scenery in front of the high line narrow gauge trestles, pics below.

Our very own @Rasputen was kind enough to surplus me this old MRC mallet. It needs a new motor and tender and lights and a decoder so it can become the basis of my “What if KCS had done a heritage steam program” since they fostered several of these as oil burners with Vanderbilt tenders.

This represents one of the first 5 GP 38, GP 38-2's acquired by the Wisconsin Southern somewhere early this century. I was always struck by the "gap-tooth" spacing of the radiator fans on this unit. It  began life as the RF&P GP 40 #121, but was converted to a GP38 (by Chessie?) at some point and lost the center fan. So I drilled out the fan, filled it with styrene, changed out the air filter box to one from Wutter designs, and added the spark arresters, also from Wutter. Also added BLMA fan grills, and will be adding the fans as it gets further along. It is destined to go on an Atlas Gold GP38-2 to give some visual distinction with the other GP38-2's Atlas produced (all of which came from NdeM and were referred to as the Mexi-wrecks by the crews. This unit went off roster to MEI when Watco renumbered all of the WSOR locomotives to WAMX reporting marks near the end of 2016.

This had been painted an decaled for 4-5 months. After coming across a picture of the roof of the unit, I decided it needed anti skid grey too. but how to keep the base of the fans red? Ended up wrapping a 1 or 2mm Tamiya masking tape around it. about 3 complete "laps" seemed to be the magic number. Next is BLMA grabs, lift rings, and painting the rails.

The model looks good ... one tip -- I've had a lot of trouble with warping on thin roof resin printed parts .. I generally try to do styrene now where possible.
