From a youtube video. This is the sign out front:

So it has been rebuilt many times, but oh well I just liked the building. Don't even have a place for it.

It is very rustic looking. Perfect for some quaint narrow-gauge layout.

A very interesting and interesting looking building, beautifully modeled.

I recognize the barn door hangers on the far right as being from the LaBelle boxcar hardware set... Very cool! I love the board texture!

Chris, what are you using for the windows?  Are they printed separately or are they molded?

They are Grandt Line windows, but some are cut apart and rearanged. After the first coat of primer the windows had no grain. So I scraped them with a razor saw. Nothing 3D here so far.

That's the place- for some reason I was thinking Tichy.

Agree that the structure looks phenomenal.

I am trying to think of a way to print those flat, but still be well supported.  I think wafer walls are the trick instead of round supports.  I am having good luck with my N scale trucks this way.

Using them on windows would allow me to shave them off easily before curing, and after cure, lightly sand them on a horizontal belt sander that I have.  I am going to be doing some PRR towers soon and I want to test this method, based on how well my icehouse came out.  I used leftover windows from a plastic structure I had on that one, but still had to shave the opnengs to insert them from the inside (no outside trim).

This is how I do windows:

Just tilt them back around 23 degrees. Use .05mm layers so there is no sagging. Think I drew the thin parts up at .015" wide.

If I would have 3D printed the windows for this shed. I would have made the just like the proto instead of close enough.

Just a base coat, but now you can start to see what all is going on.

Painted the whole thing with tan camo spray paint. Gave it a wash with Tamiya panel line accent and some antique white dry brushing. And stippled on the barn red color. Just a base. Will go in and detail paint each board so they don't all blend in.

Hi Chris,

Is the base structure 3D printed?

Thanks,
Donnell
