The main icing facility is almost complete, just need to weather the decking and main icehouse. I decided to add two extensions to the concrete supports, I’m glad I did. Here is the main icehouse:Adding the icehouse deck and platform decking. The platform in place on the layout extension. I still need to add the filler foam and screw heads under the pillars for the magnets to grab underneath.
@CNR5529 i was so focussed on running trains that I didn’t take many photos!! It was an awesome show. So nice to get together with friends and meet some new very talented modellers as well. Craig.
That looks really good!Craig
Damn … you guys have got me kicking myself in the butt for not making the drive to Strathroy yesterday. Looks like it was a great time!
WoW !!! I Too have attended the N-Scale Weekend and it was well worth the tripSold out my two tables by 10am Sunday, so I got to do some shopping and smoozing with the crew Fantastic layouts, LOTS of them and MIND BOGGLING amounts of N-Scale for sale.Got to hang out with Phillip H, Lee W and bought some cars from Rasputen , had some ConRail high jinx with Ed K,and spent a bunch of time with Ken ( @EL3632 ) at the Freemo layout and saw my EL SD 80macs earning their keep. I'll post some pics when I have more time. Did I mention I was technologically challenged? (Disabled)I've been to several rodeos, a few goat ropeins' and a big county fair and I never had such a grand time. If anyone ever thought about maybe attending this show, DO IT! The facility is first class, the hotels and restaurants are close by and if it ain't here they don't make it.Thanks to all those that supported my trip.Greg O.
It was a lot of fun, and certainly wont be the last time we combine layouts with the Windsor and London groups. Hopefully we will see you there too!
During the weekend N scale event at Altoona I spotted this baby running in the wild on @seusscaboose NKP consist on the Bantrak layout:
