Have any of you had damaged cars or has Rapido improved their packaging?

... now in stock at Lombard ...

If you go there then be sure to use the correct URL: https://lombardhobby.com.   There is a lombardhobbies.com that may be malicious and triggers a Bitdefender block.

I had a number of issues with their GP20 tankcars having parts come off in the box (underside unloading spout/shield, placards, body end caps). I'm pretty sure that was due to lack of glue on the mfg side, not the packaging itself, as parts have continued to fall off out of the box as well. My other Rapido cars (passenger cars, Flexiflow hopper, SP B-100 boxcar, Prairie Shadows flatcar, gondola, and PSC van) no such issues.

My cars just arrived and they were well packaged with no loose or damaged parts.  Very nice cars- thinner deck, lower riding height and better truck placement.  Many details are better  The CN model had the open detail on the beam that is very nice.  They are quite heavy with a cast metal deck.  A nice improvement over the RC cars.

I picked up a pair of CP Rail cars and a pair of CN, both were around in my era. In fact they were brand new, CN's being BLT 1987, CP 1988. CP was still a fine road back then, having gone downhill only after they retired the big MLW's / adopted the dual flag image. At least that's how I rationalize my heresy.

My BCOL car is not the right shade of green, more like Cascade green, but I agree, they sure look great.  I hope they operate well.

The product numbering is odd... Is the 6 car set (6) of the 562xxxA or all different cars?

They use 562xxx for all 6 cars as a six pack, A signifies you only want a single car.  All 6 cars in that pack will be 562xxxA on the label.  Very confusing and also aggrevating, I wanted 1 SP boxcar and ended up with a 6 pack instead
