Worked on some 3D printed generic bridge and tunnel pieces for the commission layout.

Can always give Circus City I try, I've had great luck with his decals

Yep.  I actually just bought some red and orange decals from him to see what he can do.  The red looks great.  The Chessie orange is a mixture of red and yellow dots.  I'd rate it as "passable." It's okay, but I wish his resolution was higher.  But if the alternative is a custom Microscale run of 250 decals sheets-and I have no idea how much that would cost--I might tolerate it.

Nice Wolf!

I've been working on redoing more track work to enhance operations again.

I’ve had this N scale caboose shell since the late 1970’s:

Purely on a whim (and because I have a surplus of CN decals), decided to mask & airbrush, and turned it into this:

@BCR 570 what was the method you used to paint the bridge ties? Can you please elaborate?

Hi Craig:

I used the method developed and tested on the section of layout which passes through the wall.  To summarize:
- primer coat of light grey flat enamel from spray can (any light grey will do)
- airbrush coat of Floquil RR Tie Brown
- drybrush flat white enamel to highlight raised detail on ties (very sparingly)
- thin wash of flat black acrylic to highlight depressed areas
- brush paint rails with Floquil Rail Brown
- brush paint tie plates with Floquil Rust
- touch-ups as required
- clean tops of rails after each step

Liberation Day!

We are in the process of consolidating our storage units to save expenses, so today I got to bring the layout and its support furniture home!  It's a bit premature, I don't even have an outlet installed to run it yet...

But guess what I'll be working on next!
