Wait, Peco is doing North American Code 55 turnouts?  Is this in N scale???  If so, that's a game changer!

Indeed!  Can't believe I missed that.   I started to stop in and ask them about that for the millionth time, but they were busy and I figured it was a waste.

Man, this will be huge.  I just hope they do some large turnouts.

MSRP is a bit nutty as usual ($59.00 for a coil car!).

Yeah, is it sound equipped?   :D :scared: :RUEffinKiddingMe:

I am interested in coil cars, especially 80s-era stuff.   Would probably buy the Conrail, maybe the N&W.  But I'm willing to wait for the fire sale.   It will be interesting to see what the loads look like...that might convince me to do something rash, if the cars look nice.

Anyone have pictures of these turnouts?  I'd love to see them.

I have some friends that are out there today so I've asked them to swing by.

On Peco's Facebook page you can see the turnout announcement placard and the diverging end of a left and righthanded turnout.  Who ever composed the shot, I know how that happens,  From the webpage there were photos of a small module that looks to have traditional Peco turnouts

From reading other boards, it looks like they exhibited a #4 N scale North American C55 turnout.  Hopefully they make a #6 and some larger sizes as well.  I would think they will probably make North American C55 flex too.

Truly a game changer.

Dang. I've put some track down and very little ballast. Do I wait for better looking switches before I continue, or do I just keep going with what's already available?

Sweet!  Of course, I just finished laying all the track on my layout with ME #6 turnouts.  But if i ever expand, I woul definitely go with Peco turnouts and flex now that they have North American prototypes.

I hope they fixed all the problems with regular Peco turnouts before they swapped in new ties.

What are the problems with regular Peco turnouts?  I have heard nothing but praise functionality-wise.  Only complaints I have heard is with the European tie spacing.
