Is that 6914 a bootleg? It's gotta be, right?Either way, I love it!
So in terms of the heritage unit scorecard:CN pass but need to do the balance of component roadsCP pass but need to do the balance of component roadsCSX conditional pass, 75% doneIAIS passNS passUP fail, did not understand the assignment
Apparently done under the cover of darkness. Yard or local job locomotives were parked with easy access
Apparently the reason for the CSX front end is so that people would know it is a CSX engine.
Branding I guess? Does CSX have a brand outside the modeling world? Ironically employees would know by the reporting marks (and probably publicity within the company), that railfans would know is self evident, and the general public probably wouldn't care either way.
Or maybe CSX just likes rustling the railfans' jimmies like railfans believe is the reason why the CEOs of the railroads do pretty much anything. Railfan: Why the @#$% would somebody paint CSX on the nose of locomotive and C&O on the rest?CSX CEO: FOR THE LULZ!!!
Let's not forget about that bootleg "C&O" SD70ACe from a few years back.http://rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=4970709
