Stuck on the 2nd quarter 2023

Atlas announced yesterday that the new Also S-4 switchers will arrive in warehouse next week, which means they will be in the stores this month.  So while movement is slow, it is moving.

The Silver ones arrived a while ago. Assuming these are the Gold sound equipped ones that suggests that the ESU bottleneck may be starting to clear. Lack of sound decoders could have been holding up a whole lot of production.

Yep, understand that.  But after that happened, he started hemming and hawing on what paint scheme he was going to do bc CSX came out with the new B&O inspired scheme.  Mentioned doing a survey to measure interest in either but I never saw it.  Never had an update in his FB chats.  End of day, money was refunded and spent elsewhere on equipment.   If and when they ever do get released, maybe I'll get them.

Send Lowell an email via his website and ask him directly. I am guessing there is enough lead time between when MT notifies him his items are scheduled for production and when he has to lock in the final scheme to poll his customers in the gap.

I did that prior to cancelling my order.  He was still not sure when they would be produced or the scheme he was doing them in.

Since then, MTL has done one of the CSX cars on their own in the new executive scheme.  Hopefully they'll continue to produce the cars that fit their body styles.  At least now I know which scheme my F40s will be

Looking for my favorite item's  shipping arrival date, I saw the FA1 was scheduled (as usual) for 2nd quarter 2023. I've learned to disregard that but scrolling down the page it looked like a LOT of items were stuck at the "2nd Quarter 2023". Did EVERYTHING from Atlas get stuck somewhere along the supply chain?

Yeah, Q4 2023 is the new TBA.

Count me in the camp that would prefer Atlas move to the BLI/Athearn model- only announce things that are ready to begin production after pre-orders close and will show up in 12 months.

I plan to live until the layout and the house are finished. Which I figure gives me another 50 years, easy.
Hopefully, the mech reefers from Rapido will have been delivered by then.
