Con-Cor S2 4-8-4

I have a couple of Con-Cor "The Rail Baron Collection" S2 4-8-4 Northern's that I'd like to tear down and do sound decoder installations without breaking anything.  The parts diagrams that came with the models are not really clear.  There was a decoder installation by Peter Van Vliet on the North Raleigh Model Railroad Club listing, but it is no longer available.  Does anyone have any sources for information?

I am under the impression that all "Rail Baron" 4-8-4s have an 8 pin socket in the tender. But I'll admit, I'm no expert.

I have a mind like a steel trap...a VERY rusty, old steel trap.

You are correct,  the Rail Baron versions have the 8 pin socket however there's no wiring to control the headlight.  You would have to run two extra wires from the tender to the headlight board,  but probably easier to just replace it with an  LED light.  I have 3 that I just plugged a decoder into the socket,  plan to get to the light one of these days.  As I recall,  the tender shell comes off fairly easy so you can quickly identify which version you have.
