Lenny53 - nice catch!  I am sure that I saw the very same coaches, around noon the very next day (Saturday June 10), tacked on to the end of a typical ‘all day/every day’ 100+ car container train.  The consist was heading westbound across CN’s northern Greater Toronto Area freight mainline.

I was refueling my car at a Markham gas station, casually watching the endless line of double-stacks roll by, and then it was genuine shock-&-awe when I saw a string of clean, shiny, wonderful passenger coaches bring up the rear.  Incredibly rare sighting, and SO unexpected.

My guess is that they were soon to be dropped off somewhere within CN’s huge Woodbridge yard, situated within the northern-most reaches of Toronto.

I understand they went back on intermodal train 121.

Ok, yeah, that would be what I saw.

I REALLY like that big, tinted glass picture window in the back of the observation/business car.  Someone really aught to model that!

I was up in @mu26aeh 's hood yesterday and caught CSX working the Gettysburg interchange.

I really wanted to work the station in.

After they started shoving back in the wrong direction I realized it was time to get back on the road to the CRHS museum.

Looks a lot like that one Conrail OCS car with the big glass window in the back. I remember Wes Reminder kitbashed models of the Conrail OCS train and you could probably use similar techniques to kitbash a model of that one. https://www.the-boring-the-adoring.com/conrail-blog/conrail-9-800364-model

BNSF has a somewhat similar theatre car.   Plain stainless steel, if I recall correctly, and no tinted glass.  Still nice to see on the rails. Wish I could get a ride.

NS has a theater car as well. Seen it through here (Centralia, IL) several times.

I can't believe how treed-in that area is now.  When I lived there (back when dinosaurs still roamed the earth) it was a clear area westward all the way up to the football stadium.

My wife had a homeschool convention in Ontario, CA this weekend.  Guess who remembered Cajon Pass was only 25 minutes away and decided the kids needed their first foamer/railfanning experience.   :ashat:
