I hope you're wrong! BLI has done ATSF steam in HO (3751 Class 4-8-4, 3800 Class 2-10-2, and at least one other) , so I would think they'll do some of them in N eventually.

I'm pushing 70. "Eventually" is not my timeframe.
But then....reading all the gripes about BLI locos, maybe it's OK. I'll get by on my 20 year old Geeps.

BLI should just give up on doing diesels and concentrate on doing steam only. Competition is always good but their competitors in the diesel department produce a much superior product. In general BLI does a better job with steam than diesel, so they should just grab that niche market and run with it.

I hope not! I really like my pups! They're not perfect, but I dig em.

BLI has has only NS accurate ES44AC...

I have 7-8 BLI diesels and no complaints.

Probably in line with the Reno N-Scale show this week, BLI posted on FaceBook about an event on Thursday, June 15th at 3PM Central for a "HUGE N Scale Announcement"

https://www.facebook.com/events/1344993966433753

I don't know if it means anything that the picture associated with the event is an ad for the HO Hybrid locomotives the NH I-5 and PRR Q2.

Wellllll...Although I've got a pretty good assortment of UP engines that operated between Ogden & Greenriver from 1947 through 1956, I need some "window-dressing" SP steam to inhabit the SP yard, roundhouse, engine house and interchange trackage in the Ogden Yard....particularly MT-4's, MT-5's, GS-2's, GS-3's, GS-4's (skirted & de-skirted), some Harriman era Consolidations with both whale-back & Vandy tenders, maybe some SP 2-10-2's or 4-10-2's, and a nice SP 0-6-0 switcher would be welcome too.

UP engines on my list would be first, a UP TTT, then a nice UP MacArthur.  Also, some Harriman era Consolidations with both the Vandy tender and the distinctive UP cylindrical tender.

Any one of these would be highly welcomed on my railroad.

Cheerio!

Man id love for a true ATSF northern but like @draskouasshat  said most likely not, but I hope I'm wrong.
Another id love to see hit N scale is the PRR S2 Turbine. I know it's extremely niche, but man I have the latest run in HO and it's so nice...
Lately I've been Impressed on their improvement in N scale. I picked up a ATSF NW2 for sh!ts and giggles just because of the paint scheme was unique, and it's a solid runner.

My guess is the Q2 is there just as a placeholder.  I am guessing it will be something more standard.  Hoping for more PRR steam, preferably an I1!

Does anyone know where this video announcement from BLI will be?  I checked Facebook but there is no link.

From their web page, and Facebook, their big N-scale announcement was just a sweepstakes, not product.  Sign up for their newsletter and get entered into a drawing for $5k of product.  Other than that, just hints of more nNscale products being announced over the next couple of months.

It sounded like there was going to be a live video on Facebook at 4, but I have seen nothing posted there.

They did ultimately post a video, but only to announce the N-Scale sweepstakes and hint that 1 new steamer and 2 new diesels in N will be announced later this month and early July.  That's it.

There were 125 J's and they stayed out west. There were nearly 600 I's and they were pretty much system wide. If BLI releases the J, I'm getting one. If BLI releases the I, I'm getting 2 or 3, maybe 4. We know BLI marches to their own drum, so I'm expecting the J first...

Yep, I really want a number of I1s for my transition Era layout.  Keeping my fingers crossed!

N scale needs an up to date 2-10-0 mechanism. I have no need for a hippo, but if they produce them I’m up for several to covert to WM I-2s. I’ll be buying multiple Reading T1s for the same reason - the mechanism is spot on for my road’s power.
