Broadway Limited Future Plans?

In a Facebook post today from BLI about MR looking at the pre-production Reading T-1 prototypes they mentioned they had new steam projects in the works.

Quote
Broadway Limited Imports, LLC
Kieran Connolly We have some new steam projects in the works for N Scale.

They will be at the N Scale Convention in Reno.  Is anyone going willing to pin them down to see what these projects might be?

Yes after the T1 and then the J1 apparently but they can and often do change their minds

Thought they were doing a PRR 2-8-0?

I sent an email to my contact at BLI a couple of weeks ago for an update on their steam loco plans.  I have not heard back yet, sometimes it takes him a couple of weeks to respond.

My last contact was around the beginning of the year.  He said PRR wise, he thought they would do the H10 first, then J1, then potentially the I1.

It doesn't matter to me what order they release these 3 steamers.  Just space them out a bit since I'll probably buy at least 2-3 of each and need to spread out the hurt to Mr. Wallet.  This could push my retirement back 1-2 years so that I can afford all of these locos.

And please, please make them with see-through spoked wheels.

That should be a given, since see-through spokes have been around since the infancy of N scale steam loco models.  After all, these are expensive well-detailed scale  models, not some low-end children's toys.  Even if they were not 100% open (like in Kato Mikado), that is still 100% better than totally blind spokes.

You would assume see-through spoked wheels should be a given in 2023, but the BLI Pacific, Mikado, and Y6b didn't have see-though spoked wheels, even though the earlier M1a/M1b did

Weird, isn't it?
Someone probably doesn't think it is a detail that will be noticed (and it is probably cheaper to produce  solid drivers).  I wish we had an insight to what goes on in the designer's minds.

BLI should just give up on doing diesels and concentrate on doing steam only. Competition is always good but their competitors in the diesel department produce a much superior product. In general BLI does a better job with steam than diesel, so they should just grab that niche market and run with it.

I hope you're wrong! BLI has done ATSF steam in HO (3751 Class 4-8-4, 3800 Class 2-10-2, and at least one other) , so I would think they'll do some of them in N eventually.
