...it will all look better when it is black with CN on the side.

Can't argue with that.

No doubt the winner will be the one that take the least time to apply and requires the least material and maintenance.

Time is money, after all.

Don't paint.. Just Patch... Got it..   :D

I'm betting that after a couple of years, maybe less, whatever scheme they pick will be replaced with solid red with dirty (but not painted black) roof, plain white CPKC lettering, no beaver and minimal yellow sill stripes for visibility.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

I'd put a smaller version of the beaver logo on the nose (to replace the CPKC lettering there), increase the size of the CPKC lettering on the side and remove the beaver logo there, and change the lettering color to yellow. I'd do this with all options.

I like the options with nose stipes, but none of them really grab me. Probably lean towards option 3.

Cheers
Doug

This does follow CP's pattern of changing schemes more often than most (except maybe CSX). And CP is the first and last letters in CheaP. My personal feeling is that CP's merely paying lip service to the history of KCS and like you said, after a few years the pretense of this being a merger will be gone in an economy move.

And I'd be only too glad to see the beaver logo gone... it's always seemed gaudy to me in gold. The beaver above the shield was a nicer logo, but only on the nose of a locomotive, not on the flanks.

Option 2 if they have to take one .
But I would stick to Canadian Pacific after all who took over ?
Later they should do what UP , NS and now CSX did with heritage unit of all the fallen flags .
Thanks ,
Louis

They are having us vote on them, who knows if they will actually take the employees preference to heart.

I wound up voting for option 3.

I wonder if they'll put the unit number on both sides of the cab?

I think they should double down on the beaver. Paint a giant beaver on the side of the locomotives. Ditch CPKC, the new reporting mark is the beaver emoji: 🦫.

I do like the idea of a beaver wearing a sombrero though!
