The N&W/ART car caught my eye ... pretty damn good match for this 1979 photo: http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=2796752 I might "have" to pick this one up!
The writeup for this car has a glaring error: "Norfolk & Western was known as the “King Coal” line, and was a Class 1 railroad headquartered in Roanoke, Virginia. Today, it is now part of the Norfolk Southern system following a 1980 merger with Southern Railway." - the Norfolk Southern merger occurred on June 01, 1982.

Several cars this month have the new Hydro Cushion underframe.

Nice update on these, and the look very good IMO.

Is it my imagination or do the Hydro Cushion cars in the SP 4 pack come with truck mounted couplers?  The new releases this month seem to have body mounted couplers on the new underframe.

Yep...the art is only representative.  It will have body mounts and new underframe.   I'll get them up to speed

The PDF says the SP cars have the Hydra Cushion underframe.

I want to know how accurate they are to a prototype.
