Some keywords to search on Amazon to get you to a suitable screw:

2-56
Pan head
Thread Cutting
Phillips

Then you can pick black oxide, length, etc.

This one seems beefier than the other ones you did.  Like on that generator car.

Yes, that's correct.  I'll be retrofitting this support style to earlier models of mine as the need arises.

I got to see a test print of the observation yesterday.
It was amazing.

This is such a great project.

Looking forward to seeing a whole car one day- with underframe and trucks.

After a little break, I completed the 1937 417-435 Luxury Lounge Coaches.  This completes the 1937 train.

And after a few print tests to get the bolster right, I completed the underframe designs this morning.

Swapping around a few windows and doors this afternoon yielded Passenger and Express 205.  It and the almost identical 201-204 cars were used on secondary trains.

Since car 205 is so close to cars 201-204, I went ahead and did those too.

Time to move on to the 1939 cars!  Before getting to them, I decided to work on the truck, which is unique.  There's still much more to add, but here's a few day's worth of effort. This is (more or less) a prewar version.  Milwaukee made some minor modifications to them a few years later.  Once again J. L. Nelson came to the rescue.  https://www.flickr.com/photos/33672589@N08/albums/72157633453593618

And I'm not sure how well those pipes will print.  That might have to be a wire (and the area surrounding it correspondingly thicker).

It's almost time to figure out how to create a free-rolling truck using Micro Trains 36" wheels.

Step 1: dispose
Step 2: ESM 36" wheelsets

I got a little side-tracked from the 1939 cars.  :D  Here are the 1934 Passenger & Express cars, numbers 2700-2707.

It still needs integrated coupler pockets and K brake details, plus etched handrails.

Step 1: dispose
Step 2: ESM 36" wheelsets

 :ashat:

I could be persuaded.   ;)   I had picked MT wheels as an industry standard, reasoning that that would give others the best number of options.

That looks like it would go with the Fox Valley set.

It's from that same generation of cars, yes.  They were build for rural branch lines. And in the photos I've seen, they are frequently in mixed freight trains.

Thanks.  Please buy some to help me pay for the stupidly expensive book of plans I needed in order to create it.  :P
