That's a good catch, think it's only weekly, though at this time of year one might expect it a little more often.

And years ago - some of the first shots of the battle were fired in that cut

Caught the local shortline pulling out from switching a customer they typically serve on their night job (run from Laurens to the Greenville run-around and back to North Simpsonville during the day, then Simpsonville to Laurens at night). They had a pretty short train and only two of the three engines (they usually run all three) today so I guess it was a light Good Friday traffic day.

Please note I was stopped waiting to turn left into that grade crossing once they cleared.

Hahaha, it's funny. While talking with Adam about his new layout plan I keep mentioning that exact spot for that same reason.

How many people's layouts can legitimately feature locations that show up in history textbooks?

And one hundred and fifteen years after the battle, I was a student at the college. At that time, the former Reading station was Tommy's Pizza, and a block east of that was the Lincoln Diner. It was common for eastbound crews to stop short of the grade crossing at Tommy's for a take out order, and I've seen westbound crews stop for an order at the diner.  That was a bit more unusual though, as a stopped westbound would block at least two grade crossings. I expect Adam to replicate that during his op sessions...   :P

Lived there again in the late '90's also. Kinda miss the Diner, but really miss going to The Dobbins House Tavern...  Talking about history, the Tavern dates to the Revolution.

I remember seeing crews stop behind Christopher's Hot Dog shop and come down for dinner on the eastbound.  That is now Montezuma's

I would include it -- there are also 3D files available for the Gettysburg station on Tinkercad ..

Funny all this talk of 3D prints etc, I finally unpacked my Photon and started setting it up today since it's warming up nicely.  It will be set up in the garage on my workbench.  My daughters (my original Christmas present) Ender will go next to it, so best of both worlds will be available.
