"Western Maryland® #734 is one of the most well-known Baldwin 2-8-0s in preservation."

But not in this run.........

This was the origin of my comment to @Dave V about Bachmann being like the Chat GPT of model railroad manufacturers. Their actions SEEM human, but are still a bit chabuduo.

... chabuduo.

Hmm. I've not heard that word/phrase (cha bu duo) before. Now that I know what it means, I'm going to have to ask our kid about it... he's currently working in Beijing.

Really? I thought it was commonly known!

Basically, it's the reason that Chinese manufacturing is both so cheap and has the reputation it does.

For anyone who didn't look it up, it basically means "Good enough".

"That's a generic blue, not Conrail blue" "chabuduo, we're shipping them"

The ability to effectively manage chabuduo is probably THE most important differentiator between model companies. In fact, I'm almost certain it's the reason Rapido, smartly, bought their own factory.

And I thought it  meant "not kosher".  :D

I also never heard that phrase, and I suspect that many TRW members were also in the dark about it.  Not sure if it is a cultural difference or age barrier (or both).

Once translated into American it is commonly known as FULL SEND!

Well, Not exactly  new , but available with sound, in Western Maryland, Western Pacific, Union Pacific, Southern and coming soon as DCC Ready lettered for New York Central, B&O, and Pennsylvania (not a PRR prototype) the photos on the web page make all of these very appealing. Nate Goodman. (Nato).

After looking it up, I wonder how China can make its space program work.

Maybe they only apply that to customers outside the government, or may be their country?

My personal translation is "buy elsewhere".  Wishing I had the choice.

Still a generalization.  I have no problems having my paint specs matched to perfection or having my products manufactured to spec, and I don't have my own factory.

Wonder if they changed the chassis. "precision motor" doesn't say much.

That's the Mandarin pronunciation but it exists in the culture.  That's why I laugh at everything Made In China as I know somewhere along the process; conception, design, manufacture, packaging, shipping, etc., there is at least a few "good enough" at a minimum!   :D

It would be nice if Bachmann did another run of the regular K4, not the streamlined version.  I really need a couple for the layout.
