Has anybody used AnyCubic "High Clear" resin yet?

Per their product info, "High Clear" appears to be a crystal-clear rigid material perfect for windshields, windows and light pipes. However, I need a little more data before jumping behind $72 for the 2L lifetime supply.

AnyCubic "Standard" clear has been OK, but not clear enough to represent glass, and at least my results with it come out soft.

I haven't but you also don't want a 2L lifetime supply unless your lifetime is 12-18 months .. that stuff expires after time

Just checked it out on AnyCubic's website...  It's not listed as "2L".  It's listed as "2Kg".  Not sure on the weight to volume correlation, but I'd think it would have to be something other than 1:1.

So it's conceivable that "2Kg" is could only be a 500ml bottle.

That said...  It'd be great if it worked well for representing "glass".  I can see all sorts of custom or replacement windshields, headlights, etc...  You could even print headlights with a integral reflector (that you paint a "chrome" color) and stick a micro LED into.  Interesting possibilities.

Yeah, I did catch that. The product photo seems to illustrate their 500ml package, and the implication from other combo "deals" they're offering is it's a two-bottle deal for the US market. One 2Kg bottle is $40, but only ships to EU.

It's interesting that their recommended technique for best results is to brush on a coat of the resin after washing but before curing.

Thanks for the reminder, John. I didn't factor that into a failed print last week where I tried to use the dregs of the first bottle of gray I received with the printer three years ago. Subsequent prints with fresher resin were fine.

I bought a bottle of this, but have not tried a print yet as it had very high ratings:

I'm testing out Voxelab transparent.  500 g for around $12 on Amazon.  I did a big chunk about 1/4" thick to test it and it's a slightly yellow tint, but for the thickness of the windows I'm making -- 0.80mm thick -- it looks clear as glass.  The coach and DL535 are 1:300 scale.  Oh, a quick note I did polish both sides with 3000 grit and give a dunk in Future/clear.  - Jesse

I have a bottle of their clear and have used hardly any of it .. I intended to print vehicles with the clear, then paint the parts that needed to be be painted ,,

what resin are you using for the car and locomotive bodies? Excellent work!

Phrozen Aqua 8k resin (printer is a Phrozen Sonic Mini 8k).  I'm very happy with this combo.
