Does anyone know if N Scale Kits is still in business??  I've been emailing them over the course of the last month with no response.  I emailed twice the past two days and still nothing?

Thanks for any info you guys have.

Cheers

Joe

I ordered his ribbon rail last sept and no problem.  He's advertising he'll be attending the NSC in Reno on his site...

Peter wrote to me Nov 15 about an order and hoped for a new etching company soon.  Cross my fingers, really like his products.

I ordered logging cars and received them beginning of January, super quick too! For what it's worth I sent an email asking a question about an etched part that was in the kit and never received an answer.

I have no idea what the etched part is supposed to do, looks like a bunch of doors, but for a flat car?  I think it likely ended up in the bag by accident.

The 25' spine cars mostly look good, unfortunately three of the twelve, the pewter did not fill the mold completely and they are missing a few ribs.  Though for the amazing low cost of shipping and the rather low cost of these kits, I didn't complain, I can figure out how to use them anyway!

Could you carve the remains of those ribs off, then replace them with styrene strip?  Once painted, the difference wouldn't show.

Yup, that styrene idea will work I'm sure.  Plus, one of these spine cars will become the basis for a caboose anyway (the logging company I want to model, Fossmill, built a caboose from a 25' spine car).
