It is. The N scale flyer says $44.99 for singles and $129.99 for the 3 pack. The $64.99 is the HO single car price. The other is a typo...

That coil car is not something that I need, but I’m not too upset.  That’s because I just preordered two HO scale Atlantic Coast Line F-units in the purple and silver scheme that Athearn Genesis announced yesterday. 😀

I've seen a lot of these when out railfanning.

Hopefully it'll be a hit for them.

I wish it were an older car, but I've got no sour grapes. I should be sinking my budget into signal system stuff anyway.

The description indicates that the cover is insulated.  I don't immediately understand why steel would need that type of thermal protection.   Does anyone know?

It's to prevent condensation from forming in the car and causing the steel to rust.

It's an excellent choice imo... I do not need any, too new.


And with Atlas GP40-2W hitting the streets recently and Rapido's recent N scale announcements I need a break, lol.
