Conrail MOW cars?

This would be an amazing place for MTL to launch their PS2 ballast car conversion...

That said, I agree, if well done (ie, not actually post Conrail stuff or any of the squished 50'ers) I'd likely be in for pretty much everything done in the series.

I didn't realize that could be an official thing... I recall commenting that based on the tooling and assembly, it wouldn't be hard to do.. but getting them to do it is another story.

I started gathering MOW photos including Troop Sleepers, Passenger cars, Camp Cars, ect... will post soon.

C'mon guys.  I made a resolution to stop looking at p()rn.  And here you are just dishing it out.

The big red centerflow cars with the PRR, PC, EL and NYC heritage leaking through could be a 3 pack on its own.

Maybe I just roll my own...

Finally found a CR Patched Penn Central Box that would fit well.

A Raritan River MOW 40' Boxcar



And a PRR Round Roof 40' boxcar
I was mistaken, MTL did a 50' round roof but not 40'

Instead, how bout this NH 40' boxcar with both the Script and McGinnis Logo


I believe this is a better example of the McGinnis version of the logo applied to the right side of the car.

While we're at it... Can you include a "standard can opener" (like the 60' from this month) 50' box car? Two box COTS too, please.

HO scaler here hoping somebody does a set like that in HO too. The rainbow era of Conrail had a lot of interesting cars and engines roaming around and turning up in places you never would have seen under their original owners.

The good news is that many HO manufacturers have excellent relationships with the CRHS.

The thing is... we're just incredibly lucky to have innovators in N like MTL and ESMC.
